Who We Are
Global Infrastructure Solutions Limited, abbreviated GiS is situated in the United Kingdom in the town of Royal Leamington Spa.
We strive to mobilise private capital towards climate-smart and bankable infrastructure project pipelines.
We strive to mobilise private capital towards critical mineral supply chains and their associated infrastructure development.
We Introduce Binary Cycle Technology for your Land & Offshore, Oil/Gas Rigs
Binary-cycle geothermal power plants use a heat exchanger to take heat from the hot water in the well to heat a secondary fluid that then spins a turbine.
Applications: Industry & Power
Heat sources: fluid heat sources above 80 °C (ideal 140 °C), gaseous heat sources above 150 °C.
For low-temperature resources, technologies like Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) and thermoelectric modules are used for electricity generation.
One of its unique advantages compared to other renewable resources is its ability to provide baseload power, meaning it can generate electricity continuously and reliably.
Offshore Critical Minerals
Offshore critical minerals are hard minerals that are in limited supply and that are essential to economic security. Critical minerals include nickel, cobalt, lithium, manganese, and rare earth elements. Uses for critical minerals include consumer electronics, energy production, healthcare, transportation, and defence.
We introduce Direct Lithium Extraction: A potential game-changing technology
The implementation of Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) technologies has the potential to significantly increase the supply of lithium from brine projects (much like shale did for oil), nearly doubling lithium production on higher recoveries and improving project returns, though with the added bonus of offering ESG/sustainability benefits.
DLE involves selectively extracting lithium ions directly from lithium-rich brines.
Integrated Electro-Chemical Process
This process extracts lithium from brines and produces battery-grade lithium hydroxide with only electricity input.
The entire process employs renewable geothermal energy as the sole power input, eliminating the need for evaporation ponds, fossil fuels, or chemical reagents.
Embracing digital innovation
Infrastructure needs to embrace 21st- century digital innovation. That goes for both projects being built today and for existing infrastructure that’s being expanded, retrofitted or repurposed to meet new needs or circumstances.
Global News and Developments below for your perusal:
-Global Infrastructure Solutions attended Innovation Zero at the London Olympia (30 April 2025) and also visited the Nano Nuclear Energy Inc. stand and had a chat with their project manager. GiS believes that these mini nuclear reactors could electrify the whole of Africa if rolled out on scale.
-Global Infrastructure Solutions had their abstract displayed at the 11th UK Geothermal Symposium in London (11th-13th November 2024)/Geothermal Energy Collaborating with Fish Farms for Climate Adaption in East Africa.
-Global Infrastructure Solutions attended the EDEC Infra Days Annual Conference in London (6th-7th December 2023), where Infrastructure Risk Management was discussed in detail, including Climate Impact and Risk Data in infraMetrics, Measuring Social Impacts and TCFD Reporting.
-Global Infrastructure Solutions was part of the panel with Growth Markets To The Fore For Infrastructure Investors at the Infrastructure Investor Network Investor Forum at The Carlton Tower Jumeirah, London on the 13/09/2023. GiS made Private Capital aware of the East African Rift as an unexploited growth market about to take off with the potential of more than 4000 MW's worth of geothermal power plants being built over the next 10 years. The region can produce geothermal energy at scale with binary-cycle geothermal power plants in East Africa with more than 20000 MW of unexploited clean energy available for harvesting. The 10 MW geothermal plant in Malawi was also mentioned, as this project needs inbound investment to proceed.
-Global Infrastructure Solutions is currently doing academic research on utilising hot water from geothermal power plants for sustainable freshwater fish farming in ponds, with AI being paramount in this process.
"Thank you for participating in the Bezos Earth Fund’s inaugural AI for Climate and Nature Grand Challenge. We received more than 1,000 submissions and have been inspired by not only your ideas, but also your energy and dedication to finding ways to harness AI to solve these important problems.
After a rigorous, multi-stage review process – including input from expert reviewers, judges, and Earth Fund leadership – we regret to share that your proposal was not selected for a Phase I grant. This was an extremely competitive process, and we are grateful for the time and thought your team invested.
Thank you again for your interest and the vital work you are doing.
Warmly,
The AI for Climate and Nature Grand Challenge Team"
